Famous Windows 98 Presentation

Filed under: Fun Stuff! — Phillip Holmes @ 7:09 pm

Some of you may remember this presentation given by Bill Gates in which Windows 98 blue-screened on stage. Of course, this never happens in ‘real life’ with any windows platform. Right?

White House Memo Reveals Iraq War Was Predestined

New evidence reveals that the Iraq war was predestined even in the absence of a second UN resolution. According to the a memo of a two-hour meeting between Tony Blair and George W. Bush on January 31st, 2003, Mr. Bush made it clear that the United States would do whatever it took to invade Iraq no matter what the weapons inspectors found.

Mr. Bush told Blair that if he was worried about the failure to find evidence of WMD in Iraq, the US could fly “U2 reconnaissance aircraft planes with fighter cover over Iraq, painted in UN colors”. Mr Bush added: “If Saddam fired on them, he would be in breach [of UN resolutions]”.

Mr. Bush even expressed the hope that a defector would be extracted from Iraq and give a “public presentation about Saddam’s WMD”. He is also said to have referred Mr Blair to a “small possibility” that Saddam would be “assassinated”.

Mr. Bush told the prime minister that he “thought it unlikely that there would be internecine warfare between the different religious and ethnic groups”.

Tony Blair is now finding himself caught in the same type of circumstance as that of Mr. Bush. However, Bush has a much worse situation on his hands domestically over his administration’s refusal to obtain FISA warrants to listen into international to domestic phone conversations. This illegal domestic wiretapping program, cherry-picked intelligence to support his rush to war and other major scandals have completely destroyed the Bush administration’s credibility and given substantial legal grounds for the impeachment of Bush as well as Cheney. As usual, United States media has barely made a whimper about this new memo’s revelations and it’s importance in showing that there was little done to avoid the current Iraq quagmire both countries are caught in. However, like the Downing Street memos, there is a large underground movement to bring these meeting minutes into the main stream media.

We’ll see.
